The Court of Appeal has handed down an important judgment arising from the long-running litigation concerning the loss of the M/T ‘Prestige’ off the coast of Spain in November 2002.

The London Steam-Ship Owners’ Mutual Insurance Association Ltd (‘the Club’) were insurers of the owners and managers of the Vessel.

Five appeals were considered by the Court from orders made following three separate judgments of Mr Justice Butcher. These include [2021] EWHC 1247 (Comm), for which further information may be seen in our previous case summary.
