We are delighted to announce that Andrew Green KC is included in the latest edition of The Lawyer Hot 100. Members of The Hot 100 are noted for their excellence and relevance in the legal industry.

Andrew Green KC is credited for the high-profile work he has undertaken over the past few years. The Lawyer highlights his cross-examination of Prince Harry, writing “Andrew Green KC is not a man you want to find yourself being cross-examined by. Just ask Prince Harry, who, in January this year, said that he had had “a bad experience with Mr Green”. The Blackstone Chambers silk became the first barrister to cross-examine a member of the Royal Family since Sir Edward Clarke examined the Prince of Wales in 1891.”. Andrew also earns praise as one of “the Bar’s “go-to” counsel for big-stakes commercial disputes.

Andrew Green KC is not a man you want to find yourself being cross-examined by. Just ask Prince Harry, who, in January this year, said that he had had “a bad experience with Mr Green”. The Blackstone Chambers silk became the first barrister to cross-examine a member of the Royal Family since Sir Edward Clarke examined the Prince of Wales in 1891. Green was lead counsel for Mirror Group Newspapers in a phone-hacking trial during which he cross-examined Prince Harry in 2023. Cross-examination is what Green enjoys best and, despite the scrutiny the case came with, he calls the eight hours examining the Prince “the most extraordinary experience” of his career.

Green has become one of Blackstone’s — and indeed the Bar’s — “go to” counsel for big-stakes commercial disputes, known for his cross-examination. Having always thought he would go into business, he decided to give law a try for a few years and, upon finding that he loved the work, never looked back. He took silk in 2010 and is frequently instructed by Quinn Emanuel, Clifford Chance and Kirkland & Ellis.

He has gone strength to strength since the Prince Harry trial. His recent caseload includes successful trials for HSBC in the Eclipse litigation, BM Brazil in a major mining contract claim and AXA in its £675m PPI win against Santander. He was also instructed on several major recent matters that settled before trial, including a claim by several Premier League clubs on a business interruption case against their insurers following the Covid-19 pandemic, and a major piece of LIBOR litigation that was set to go to trial this year against a list of banks that includes Barclays, UBS and Deutsche Bank.

The rest of this year shows no sign of slowing down, with cases for fast-fashion brand Temu, Iconic Sports Eagle Investment (against Eagle Football’s John Textor), and the Republic of India all underway.
